Our Mission

The Bryte and Broderick Community Action Network (BBCAN) implements and supports programs and projects to meet the aspirations of our diverse community by working with the City, non-profit and faith-based organizations, schools, and businesses toward sustaining a healthy, informed, and engaged community.

GOOD NEWS

BBCAN and the West Sacramento Historical Society (WSHS) have entered into an agreement with Yolo County Housing for a shared office space at River Bend Manor (map). Read more here.

BBCAN Community meetings are held on the second Tuesday of the month at 6pm at our office at River Bend Manor - 664 Cummins Way, West Sacramento (map). Interested residents are encouraged to attend.


Senior Transportation Task Force Ride-Along The City Parks and Recreation Department and BBCAN participated in a Ride-Along to experience the challenges and questions that may confront first time riders. See the photos.

BBCAN Receives Community Award BBCAN was awarded the Civic Leadership Award for Community at the annual State of the City Address.

Bryte and Alyce Norman Parks and Riverbank Park Clean up day Over 900 people participated. See the photos here and see the proclamation awarded by the City!

BBCAN and WS Fire Dept collaborated on designing a File of Life refrigerator magnet.These magnets specifically developed for seniors who may live alone or who are home bound.
