Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity Yolo County is pleased to announce the launching our our newest program - A Brush With Kindness - Habitat's exterior home repair program for low-income families and seniors who own their own homes.

Habitat for Humanity Yolo County is currently seeking volunteers for our first exterior home repair in West Sacramento!

Habitat will be helping Mr. Roy Marks by replacing his good neighbor fence, painting fascia and replacing some exterior vinyl siding. Mr. Marks is 84 years old, widowed and a U.S. veteran. Our repair hours will be 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Repair dates will be re-scheduled if cancelled due to rain. We need volunteers for the following dates:

Thursday-January 12, 2012
Friday-January 13, 2012
Thursday-January 19, 2012
Friday-January 20, 2012
Saturday-January 21, 2012
Saturday-January 28, 2012
(moving tools from Woodland to West Sacramento)

Please support Habitat in our efforts to develop communities with people in need by building and renovating houses, so that there are decent houses in decent communities.

Yolo County Habitat for Humanity will begin its first "Brush with Kindness" project in West Sacramento this summer. Habitat has asked BBCAN to help identify owner-occupied homes in the Bryte and Broderick area that may qualify for low income assistance for exterior home repairs. This is a great opportunity to improve our neighborhoods.
