West Sac Counts! Census 2010
BBCAN has volunteered to be part of the census 2010 West Sac Counts! community-based complete count committee, along with several other community groups. Many types of federal and state funding are awarded based on Census numbers. Undercounts result in lost revenue. Send an email if you have questions or want to help.

Retiring the American Flags
For the retiring of U.S. Flags there are only two organizations that are "officially" allowed to do so: VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars) and Boy Scouts of America. The West Sacramento Library has asked the Boy Scouts to retire a couple of their flags. They plan to do so ceremoniously on November 9 to coincide with Veteran's Day week. If you, or any other offices/agencies are in need of having your old and worn out U.S. flags disposed of properly and with honor, contact Michelle McCarty, Leader of Den 4, Cub Scouts Pack 49 of West Sacramento sblc2009@hotmail.com
